Manchester City and Arsenal face off in a blockbuster top-of-the-table clash on Sunday afternoon, in a game that will have huge ramifications for the Premier League title race.
Arsenal, Liverpool and City are embroiled in a thrilling title race with eight games remaining. The Gunners are top and ahead of the Reds on goal difference, while Pep Guardiola’s side are just one point back in third.
City, who completed an iconic treble last season, are looking to win their sixth Premier League title in the last seven years.
Guardiola’s men are also in the Champions League quarter-finals and FA Cup semi-finals, so another treble is still in sight.
Arsenal blew their lead at the top of the league last season, with City swooping in late on – however, Mikel Arteta will demand his side stay focused until the end of the campaign this time around.
The Gunners, who are also in the Champions League quarter-finals, have won their last eight Premier League games – but they face their toughest task of the season in travelling to the Etihad to face City on Sunday.

]]>The Euphoria drama just seems to get deeper and deeper, with it now being announced that production on season 3 has been put on hold.
“HBO and Sam Levinson remain committed to making an exceptional third season,” an HBO spokesperson told Variety on Monday 25th March. “In the interim, we are allowing our in-demand cast to pursue other opportunities.”
Now, star Storm Reid (who plays Gia in the teen drama) has spoken out, saying she is “a little disappointed” but “not surprised” by the delays (according to Variety).
“I think we should handle the show with care. We’ve put our hearts and soul into it,” Reid added.
The news comes only shortly after Cassie star Sydney Sweeney suggested she would be back on the set of Euphoria in the next few weeks.
“I go into Euphoria,” she told MTV in a video interview, teasing she has “maybe” seen new scripts.
“It’s like home when I go back to it. I like it,” she continued. “I’m excited. It’s like family.”
However, it seems there will be a further wait for Sydney and the show’s fans.
Showrunner Sam Levinson previously teased a new format for the upcoming season, revealing that it will be structured like a noir movie through the eyes of Rue Bennett (Zendaya).
Speaking to Elle, he explained he hopes to “explore what it means to be an individual with principles in a corrupt world”.
Speaking about Zendaya, he added that she’s “the most competitive person I know, in a good way. She’s constantly growing as an artist and always seeking a challenge. She’s never complacent”.
Alongside Zendaya, we can expect other Euphoria regulars such as Hunter Schafer (Jules), Jacob Elordi (Nate), Alexa Demie (Maddy), Algee Smith (Chris), Sydney Sweeney (Cassie), Maude Apatow (Lexi) and Dominic Fike (Elliot) to return for the next instalment.
Not all fan-favourite characters will be returning, however, following the tragic death of Angus Cloud, who played Fez in the show, back in July 2023.
Prior to his passing, Cloud had expressed excitement about his future on the show.
“I can’t wait to get back to work with everyone. I feel like it’s been way too long. I just can’t wait to see everyone and working on set again,” Cloud told E! News, before adding that he “definitely [wasn’t] sure what to expect” for his character’s storyline after.
“Knowing [creator] Sam Levinson, it will be good,” he said.
Cast and crew paid tribute to the late actor, with the official Euphoria Twitter (recently rebranded as X) account posting a statement on their official social: “We are incredibly saddened to learn of the passing of Angus Cloud. He was immensely talented and a beloved part of the HBO and Euphoria family. We extend our deepest condolences to his friends and family during this difficult time.”

— euphoria (@euphoriaHBO) July 31, 2023
Zendaya also commemorated the passing of co-star Cloud, who she lovingly described as her “brother”.
“Words are not enough to describe the infinite beauty that is Angus (Conor),” the actor wrote on Instagram. “I’ll cherish every moment. My heart is with his mother and family at this time and please be kind and patient as grief looks different for everyone”.
Long-term cast member Barbie Ferreira, who played Kat in the series, will also not be returning for the upcoming third season.
“After four years of getting to embody the most special and enigmatic character, Kat, I’m having to say a very teary-eyed goodbye,” she wrote in an Instagram story, alongside a photo of fan art made by her co-star Hunter Schafer.
Want to know more? Here’s everything we know so far about Euphoria season 3.
**Spoiler warning for Euphoria season 2 episode 8**
Euphoria season 3 has been slated for 2025, HBO boss Casey Bloys announced at a press event back in November 2023, as reported by Deadline.
However, it now appears that the acclaimed HBO teen drama is running behind schedule.
Following rumours that the show had been axed altogether, HBO told Variety the series has been delayed, with scripts still being written and the cast free to pursue other projects in the interim.
So, we have quite a wait on our hands for a third season of Euphoria.
HBO announced at the beginning of February 2022 that Euphoria would be back for season 3.
#EUPHORIA has been renewed for season 3. pic.twitter.com/vGnmps7OQC
— euphoria (@euphoriaHBO) February 4, 2022
“Sam, Zendaya, and the entire cast and crew of Euphoria have taken season 2 to extraordinary heights, challenging narrative convention and form, while maintaining its heart,” said Francesca Orsi, EVP of HBO Programming. “We couldn’t be more honoured to work with this gifted, wildly talented team or more excited to continue our journey with them into season 3.”
As for the future of the show, it’s currently unclear whether season 3 will be Euphoria’s last – in fact, HBO executives aren’t even sure at this point.
“I will let [executive producer] Sam [Levinson] and Zendaya talk about [that],” Casey Bloys, chief content officer at HBO, told TVLine.
“I’m very excited about what they’ve got planned [for season 3]. So I will leave that to them. I will say, generally speaking, we trust where they want to take these characters. So we’ll let the creative team lead the way.”
The following cast members have been confirmed for Euphoria season 3.
We would also expect returns for the following stars:
While it’s not entirely clear who will be back for season 3 of Euphoria, we do know that Zendaya will be reprising her role of Rue, with Bloys telling TVLine: “She’s going to be in season 3.”
In fact, we can’t see Zendaya leaving the show anytime soon, with Bloys adding: “It’s hard to imagine doing [the] show without her.”
But eventually, her time on the show will come to an end.
“From a character perspective, I want to find things that will push me,” she told Elle. “As I get older, you know, I can’t play a teenager for the rest of my life.”
We also know that Dominic Fike will be back in season 3 as Elliot, with the singer and actor telling The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon that he would “absolutely” be back.
Sydney Sweeney also confirmed her return for the third season when she discussed her hopes for her character in a chat with Cosmopolitan.
Sweeney said: “I can only imagine where she’s going to go next season. As an actor, I love being able to go to places that might be deep for characters, because you unlock different parts of them that you didn’t know before. I love discovering different parts of Cassie.
“Season 2 was so different [to season one] because last season Cassie was so confident and on this path of self-love and self-worth.”
Meanwhile, Eric Dane also confirmed his involvement in the series when he discussed returning to filming.
Dane told Variety: “There’s gonna be redemption. I mean, that’s the trajectory he’s on. I can’t imagine Cal’s life from solitary confinement. It’s tough to work Cal into the storyline when he’s behind bars.”
The actor also revealed he hopes that Cal and Nate can (somehow) mend their relationship.
As for the rest of the cast, we’re likely to see Hunter Schafer (Jules Vaughn), Alexa Demie (Maddy Perez), Maude Apatow (Lexi Howard), Jacob Elordi (Nate Jacobs), Storm Reid (Gia Bennett), Colman Domingo (Ali Muhammed), Austin Abrams (Ethan Daley) and Nika King (Leslie Bennett) return for season 3.
But it remains to be seen if they will find a way to incorporate Angus Cloud into the third season through pre-recorded footage.
We left his character in a precarious situation but alive after being shot in the stomach in the finale, before being taken into police custody.
Hopefully, newer additions to the cast like Martha Kelly (Laurie), Chloe Cherry (Faye) and Minka Kelly (Samantha) will also be back for a second round to tie up their storylines.
Sadly, as detailed above, Barbie Ferreira will not be reprising her role as Kat Hernandez in season 3 after the actress elected to depart the series.
What’s more, it seems that Javon Walton will not be returning as Ashtray either after the character was gunned down by a SWAT team in the season 2 finale.
Despite the possibility of flashback appearances, Walton also didn’t rule out Ashtray being alive.
He told Variety: “There’s definitely hope for Ashtray to still be alive. Because if there’s somebody who could take a bullet in the show, it’s Ashtray. Ashtray is one badass kid. He’s not playing around. I believe he has a shot about being around for Season 3.”
Could Ashtray be alive after all?
Levinson described the third season of the show as a “film noir” (via Elle).
There are a number of plot points left to explore following the Euphoria season 2 finale.
In terms of major cliffhangers, Fezco was taken into police custody after accidentally being shot in the stomach by adoptive brother Ashtray, who was subsequently shot dead by a SWAT team.
Maude Apatow, who plays Lexi on the show, told Entertainment Weekly that she wanted to see a slow-burn romance between everybody’s favourite pair – Fez and Lexi. “I love working with Angus. I think Angus is such a great actor, and we just have so much fun working together,” she said. “So for selfish reasons, I hope we get to do more scenes together because it’s fun.”
Elsewhere, we will continue to follow Rue Bennett on her journey of sobriety and battling addiction – we know she lasts the school year being sober, but what about beyond?
Levison has said (via Elle) that he plans to “explore what it means to be an individual with principles in a corrupt world”.
It also seems that Rue’s romance with Jules Vaughn and friendship with Elliot is both now done for good. Where does this leave Jules and is she really done with Elliot too?
Cassie Howard will also be dealing with her split from Nate Jacobs, but former best friend Maddy Perez warned her that their complicated relationship is just beginning. Can Maddy and Cassie mend their friendship?
Meanwhile, newbie Chloe Cherry, who plays heroin addict Faye, told Variety that she hopes Faye grows closer to Rue in season 3.
“They’d vibe for sure. I think Faye has a story of addiction to tell as Rue does; even though it’s different, I think that they could learn something from each other,” she said. “I also think Rue is a non-judgmental character, and I think that is all Faye needs. I think if they got closer, they would get along because they have these shared experiences and they are both chill girls in spite of it.”
Finally, as mentioned previously, it seems we will follow Cal Jacobs’ journey of “redemption” – if such a thing is possible.
HBO has not yet released a trailer for season 3 – production has not yet started on the third season.
We’ll be updating our release date page as soon as a clip drops.

Sally Wainwright has turned her hand to fantasy with new Disney Plus series Renegade Nell.
The show, which blends fairies, magical monsters and Georgian England, stars Derry Girls’ Louisa Harland as Nell Jackson, a young woman just back from the Battle of Blenheim.
Nell looks all set to settle back down in the village of Tottenham, where she grew up, but when she’s framed for a murder she didn’t commit, she’s forced on the run – and soon becomes one of the most feared highwaywomen in the land (with the help of a magical spirit called Billy Blind).
A swashbuckling adventure ensues as Nell grows determined to clear her name, with her journey taking audiences through miles of English countryside, as well as plenty of grand stately homes.
Wondering where exactly Renegade Nell was filmed? Read on for everything you need to know.
Many scenes in Renegade Nell were shot in Hampton Court Palace, Molesey, which has previously featured in period dramas such as Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, Bridgerton, The Favourite, Belgravia and The Great.
You can explore the castle grounds which date back over 300 years. You can book tickets on the website.
[squirrel-affiliate-playlist squirrel_playlist_id=”612″ /]
Robbery scenes set around Tottenham were shot in the popular woodland near Farnham.
The countryside has previously been the backdrop to many TV series and films, including Ridley Scott’s film Napoleon, Gladiator, Harry Potter, Warhorse, Thor, Wonder Woman and Transformers 3, as well as Netflix‘s The Crown and The Witcher.
Bourne Wood offers 24-hour access, 365 days a year, free of charge. The woods are located just south of Farnham in Surrey.
The court scenes in Renegade Nell were shot in the courtyard of Oxford University’s Bodleian Library.
Guided tours of the interior of the library are £10 per person, but you can visit the exterior free of charge.
In one episode, Nell attempts to mingle with high society – though with disastrous consequences, we might add. These scenes were shot at Rousham House & Gardens.
This country house is open to visitors between 10am and 4:30pm. Tickets for the garden are £10 per person and can be purchased on arrival.
Queen Anne’s parliament scenes were shot at Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich.
The riverside estate is open to visitors. General admission tickets are £15, and kids go free. There is also the option to convert to an annual pass at no extra cost.
Renegade Nell is coming to Disney Plus on Friday 29th March. Sign up to Disney Plus for £7.99 a month or £79.90 for a year.

]]>All episodes in the first season of Sally Wainwright’s new fantasy series, Renegade Nell, are now available to stream on Disney Plus, with viewers already making their way through the swashbuckling adventure.
The series stars Louisa Harland (Derry Girls) as Nell, a courageous young woman who finds herself framed for murder, and subsequently becomes the most notorious highwaywoman in 18th-century England.
It is the first project to come from Wainwright since the hit final season of Happy Valley, meaning there is plenty of interest to see just what she’s come up with this time.
However, with viewers reaching the end of this current season, what are the chances that we will see a season 2? Read on for everything you need to know.
We don’t yet know whether Renegade Nell will be returning for season 2, with no word from Disney Plus.
However, director Ben Taylor revealed to RadioTimes.com that season 2 is already being written.
He said: “We’re now in the process of writing a possible second series, so you’re able to take stock and figure out what would be the 2.0 version and focus on the stuff that was really working and do more of that.
“I think there’s gonna be a time jump, because we shot this over a year ago. So I think it’s buying that and buying the thought that it’s been that many years since we caught up with these characters, partly just for the age – Roxy and George are going to be visibly two years older.
“It’s about where we leave the characters, and what powers they have or don’t have by the end of series 1 is sort of informing the jumping off point for series 2. I wish I could tell you, but there is some crazy, crazy stuff in store.”
We will likely hear more in the coming weeks, and will make sure to keep this page updated with any news regarding the show’s future as it comes in.
Without official confirmation that Renegade Nell will be returning, it’s hard to say at this point just when a second season would be likely to debut.
We’d certainly imagine that the earliest new episodes could arrive would be in 2025, likely towards the tail end of the year. However, we will keep this page updated once we get any further information.
If Renegade Nell were to return for season 2, we would certainly expect Louisa Harland to be back as Nell Jackson, along with key figures such as Nick Mohammed’s Billy Blind and Enyi Okoronkwo’s Rasselas.
However, no official cast list has been released at this point, meaning any suggestions as to who would be back remain speculative at this point.
Here is the full cast for Renegade Nell season 1, many of whom would be expected to return for a possible season 2:

There isn’t a trailer available for a possible Renegade Nell season 2 yet, but if one becomes available we will make sure to include it here. In the meantime, you can rewatch the trailer for season 1 here.

]]>Warning: Full spoilers for Renegade Nell ahead.
Sally Wainwright‘s new offering, Renegade Nell, has finally hit Disney Plus – with Louisa Harland shining as Nell Jackson, the quick-witted young woman framed for murder.
When a mysterious spirit named Billy appears to Nell, she realises her destiny is bigger than she ever could have imagined.
The new adventure introduces us to an incredible array of theatrical characters (we need to see more of Joely Richardson’s Eularia Moggerhanger pronto), with Nell and her beloved sisters ultimately getting some form of a happy ending.
However, not everything is that simple. Here’s what you need to know about what went down in the finale episode of Renegade Nell – and how it sets up potential future seasons.
The final episode of Renegade Nell sees the Earl of Poynton (Adrian Lester) feeding off of the darkness inside Thomas (Jake Dunn) after he killed his father earlier in the series.
Poynton casts a spell to give himself immeasurable power, as he holds the queen hostage in support of the Jacobite rebellion.
Despite Thomas having killed her father, Nell makes the ultimate sacrifice, telling Billy (Nick Mohammed), the sprite who had been protecting her all along, to leave her in favour of fending off the spell from inside Thomas.
The pair have an emotional goodbye, before Billy leaves Nell and successfully fends off the spell.
Speaking to RadioTimes.com about those emotional scenes, Billy actor Nick Mohammed said: “I was devastated.”
Nell actress Harland added: “I was devastated, as well. I mean, even more devastated that you go into Jake Dunn! It was really, really heartbreaking – and actually filming it was so emotional, because it was towards the end of the shoot and we’d been filming for such a long time.
“So even the crew, they were so invested in this story, and particularly in the relationship between Nell and Billy. We all loved it so much, and so it was really, really emotional to film – and then seeing it back, I always think it looks like a horror film.”
[squirrel-affiliate-playlist squirrel_playlist_id=”612″ /]
As we go into the final episode of Renegade Nell, things are in chaos. The villainous Earl of Poynton (Adrian Lester) has been appointed captain of the queen’s bodyguard and is planning to overthrow her, with Nell vowing to stop it.
Meanwhile, Isembard Tully/Charles Devereux (Frank Dillane) is once again on the run after being sentenced to hang for his crimes.
Nell plans to intercept the queen’s carriage, but instead finds Charles in a decoy carriage. The gang set their course for Broadwater to rescue the queen – but it appears it’s already too late, with Poynton holding her hostage.
He orders to join him on a journey to the Jacobites in Scotland, and says she’ll be executed once King James has taken the throne.
Sofia (Alice Kremelberg) realises that her brother Thomas has been branded with Poynton’s pendant, a way of controlling him. When she attempts to snatch it off, Roxy (Bo Bragason) gets a sense that something’s wrong. She and Rasselas (Enyi Okoronkwo) decide to follow Nell.
Sofia confronts Poynton, who says that he’s able to use Thomas’s soul to become immeasurably powerful now that it’s been warped by committing patricide (after killing his own father earlier in the season).
However, he says the process would be risky for him – but suggests that Sofia would be strong enough, allowing her to easily defeat Nell. Poynton brushes off her question about what would happen to Thomas, saying he’s already lost.
Sofia finally sees through Poynton, though, knocking him out. He quickly takes revenge, however, casting the spell to make him powerful and causing the pendant to burn through Thomas’s skin.
He almost suffocates Sofia to death with his magic, boasting that she is now no match for him. He soon hears of Nell’s arrival.
Nell and Billy fight their way through the house, while Roxy and Rasselas find a tormented Thomas. Haunted by guilt, Thomas tells Rasselas his real name – Amadin.
Speaking to RadioTimes.com about that powerful moment, actor Enyi Okoronkwo said: “Those scenes are really terrifying. You see them in the schedule and you look at that day and you are a bit worried, and then you have to always remember that you’re collaborating and you’re collaborating with wonderful people…
“You have to go to emotional places, there’s personal weight, there’s historical weight, and it just feels very held by everybody on set. It was a nice relief, it was so much easier than I thought it would be.”
Roxy senses that Nell isn’t safe and the pair go to find her. Nell finds the queen – or does she? Elsewhere, Charles and George, who decided to come along and help, also appear to find the queen in a different part of the manor. So, which one is real?
It soon becomes clear that Nell’s queen knows about Billy, asking her how she captured the spirit. The queen begins to sound strange, and it’s revealed she’s being possessed by the Earl of Poynton.
The Earl of Poynton has Nell in his grasp (quite literally) as he begins to choke her to death, until Roxy and Rasselas find Thomas. Roxy disrupts the pendant’s link with Thomas, severing Poynton’s connection with the queen.
This version of the queen, who was just an illusion conjured by Poynton, disappears.
As Nell threatens Poynton, he flees, and Sofia regains her power. She’s still not as powerful as Poynton, though, who manages to strip the light form the sky, plunging them all into darkness. A brutal fight between Poynton, Sofia and Nell breaks out, with Nell and Sofia reluctantly joining forces.
Sofia discovers Thomas close to death as Ponyton feeds off of the darkness inside him. Roxy, George and Charles help the queen to escape, with Nell and Sofia remaining to fight off Poynton – to the death, if need be.
Making the ultimate sacrifice with Thomas close to death, Nell tells Billy to leave her and go into Thomas, fighting the spell from within. The pair say an emotional goodbye.
Billy manages to fend off the spell and bring Thomas back, with Poynton losing his power and being left a mere mortal. As he sets his sights on Nell, he’s taken by surprise by Sofia, who stabs him in the back.
Of course, it wasn’t out of the good of her own heart, as she wants Nell to tell the queen that she and Thomas were deceived by Poynton – but turned against him when the time was right.
Astonished at her absolute audacity, Nell tells Sofia that she and Thomas should leave and never come back.
The queen summons Nell and the gang to the palace, pardoning her and offering her a position as captain of the bodyguard – to which Nell quickly says no. She simply asks for her dad’s pub, the Talbot, back, with Nell, Roxy, George and Amadin having a good old happy ending.
A season 2 of Renegade Nell has not officially been confirmed – but director Ben Taylor confirmed that what could be the second instalment is currently being written.
We’d expect the story to pick up with Nell, Roxy and George after their happy ending. However, considering some of our baddies got away, we wouldn’t rule out an appearance from Sofia and Thomas.
Plus, is the villainous Earl of Poynton definitely gone? Only time will tell.
Renegade Nell is available to stream on Disney Plus now. Sign up to Disney Plus for £7.99 a month or £79.90 for a year.

]]>Beyond Paradise has returned for its much-anticipated second run, with the premier kicking off in classic form for our detective Humphrey (Kris Marshall), who found himself wrapped up in a very-real murder mystery on a steam train last week.
A spin-off of Death in Paradise, this season will consist of six brand-new episodes airing every Friday, with everything from missing teachers to online dating set to make appearances across the next few months – and it’s sure to be as nail-biting as ever.
Though Kris Marshall and Sally Bretton star in the main roles as Humphrey and Martha, respectively, Beyond Paradise is littered with famous guests – from Ted Lasso stars to ex-EastEnders.
So who is part of the Beyond Paradise cast, and where might you have seen them before?
Read on for everything you need to know.
There’s also Melina Sinadinou as Zoe and Jade Harrison as Charlie Woods, among others.
Who is DI Humphrey Goodman? After leaving Saint Marie to follow his love interest Martha Lloyd to the UK to explore a relationship with her, they’re now engaged. Humphrey is working a new beat in the fictional town of Shipton Abbott in Devon. His colleagues weren’t sure what to make of him when he first arrived, but they quickly fell into a rhythm. In the first season, his relationship with Martha was driven to the brink as they struggled to conceive, but they’re now firmly back on track and looking into fostering.
Where have I seen Kris Marshall before? Aside from Death in Paradise, he’s best known for Love Actually, My Family and Sanditon, among others.
Who is Martha Lloyd? Martha, Humphrey’s partner, runs a cáfe of her own. In the first season, she and Humphrey were trying for a baby, but have since turned their attention to fostering.
“It was wonderful to come back to this character after five years,” said Bretton. “I really like Martha. She’s very warm and driven, but she overthinks things, so she’s interesting to play.”
Where have I seen Sally Bretton before? You’ve probably also watched her in comedy Not Going Out with Lee Mack.
Who is Detective Sergeant Esther Williams? Like many people, Esther was bemused by Humphrey when she first met him and was unsure of his approach to policing, but they’ve since developed into a strong team. She’s intelligent and driven, rising through the police ranks at a rapid rate, and she knows the community inside and out having grown up there, which is invaluable during their investigations. She had a child when she 17, Zoe, which was a challenging moment in her life, but she rose to the occasion.
Where have I seen Zahra Ahmadi before? She played the original Shabnam in EastEnders, starred in BBC sitcom Count Arthur Strong and appeared in season 3 of ITV’s The Bay. Ahmadi also appeared in a single episode of Death in Paradise in 2018.
Who is Police Constable Kelby Hartford? He was born and raised in Shipton Abbott, which means he knows a lot of the criminals he catches. Kelby is naive at times, but he’s also hard-working and determined – attributes which serve him well in the job. He also strives to impress Humphrey.
“Kelby looks up to Humphrey, he is really impressed and in awe of his work,” said Llewellyn. “He always wants to do better and improve, so enjoys learning from Humphrey and sees him as almost a father figure.”
Where have I seen Dylan Llewellyn before? He starred as the “wee English fella” in Derry Girls and Jack in Big Boys.
Who is Office Support Margo Martins? She’s permanently based at the police station, manning the phones and throwing a withering stare at whoever crosses her. She loves the job, although she’d never admit it.
Margo has had three husbands, all of whom are dead (no, she’s not a serial killer – we hope not, anyway) and she hardly ever sees her grown-up children. She’s not a fan of Humphrey when he first arrives on the scene, but grows to appreciate him.
“On the surface, she’s very tough on everyone and she doesn’t really want to give much away about herself,” said Montagu. “Underneath it all, I think she lives for them. She has a very interesting life and nobody quite knows what Margo gets up to but she’s very fond of them all in her own way.”
Where have I seen Felicity Montagu before? She best known as Lynn in Alan Partridge. She recently appeared in Channel 4 comedy Hullraisers.
Who is Anne Lloyd? Martha’s mum. Her husband died three years ago, leaving her bereft. She’s also very close to her daughter. In season 2, she explores the dating scene, which causes some friction with Martha.
“Anne is a little bit at sea at the moment,” said Flynn. “She would have been an easy woman who is very supportive to her husband and her daughter, knowing that the relationship ups and downs in families grow and change. She’s quite a jolly person. She’s not overly accommodating. She has a relationship with her daughter that is very interesting, special and real.”
Describing Anne’s relationship with Humphrey, Flynn said: “[It] is not as plain sailing as, ‘Oh, my goodness me, this man is in love with my daughter, I’m going to open my gate.’ She finds him rather bewildering and astonishingly tall.”
Where have I seen Barbara Flynn before? You might have watched her in ITV’s Kate & Koji and The Durrells, BBC’s Cranford and Cracker with Robbie Coltrane.
Who is Zoe? Esther’s teenage daughter. The pair have a loving relationship, but can clash on occasion.
Where have I seen Melina Sinadinou before? This is her biggest role to date.
Who is Charlie Woods? A chief superintendent who takes no prisoners.
Where have I seen Jade Harrison before? You might know her from Netflix’s The Stranger, Disney Plus series Wedding Season and Hollyoaks.

]]>The Doctor Who Experience in Cardiff was adored by fans, offering the opportunity to see classic costumes and props as well as take part in interactive experiences inspired by the BBC sci-fi series.
The exhibition closed its doors after five years in Cardiff in September 2017 – but could it ever return?
Though Doctor Who showrunner Russell T Davies isn’t ruling out the opening of a similar attraction in future, he did caution that any such project was unlikely in the immediate future during an interview on the Firecrotch & Normcore: They Like To Watch podcast.
“That Doctor Who Experience lost a lot of money,” Davies explained. “That’s not a secret, it just did.
“I loved it – it was brilliant, it was so lavish… no wonder it lost money. So it’s kind of ‘once bitten, twice shy’.”
Davies said that he and the creative forces behind Doctor Who will “see how successful it becomes” before committing to any franchise expansions.
“If it starts to get the kids watching, if it starts to sell the toys, if it starts creating demand, then it’ll start to happen. Right now, it’s a difficult time for that.”
Davies did add, though, that “the early signs are great” for the new era of Doctor Who, which stars Ncuti Gatwa as the Fifteenth Doctor and sees the BBC partner with Disney for global distribution of the series.
The new season of Doctor Who is set to launch on 11th May in the UK, with the first two episodes available on iPlayer from midnight, with a BBC One broadcast following later on Saturday evening.
Millie Gibson will star opposite Gatwa’s Doctor as new companion Ruby Sunday, while other returning cast will include Jemma Redgrave (Kate Stewart), Anita Dobson (Mrs Flood), Michelle Greenidge (Carla Sunday), Yasmin Finney (Rose Noble), and Bonnie Langford (Mel Bush).
Joining the returnees will be new guest cast including Aneurin Barnard, Jinkx Monsoon, Indira Varma, and Lenny Rush.
Ex-showrunner Steven Moffat will also be back to write episode 3 of the eight-part series.
Doctor Who will return on Saturday 11th May on BBC iPlayer and BBC One. Previous seasons are available to stream on BBC iPlayer with episodes of the classic series also available on BritBox – you can sign up for a 7-day free trial here.

]]>Pilgrimage makes its return to BBC Two tonight (Friday 29th March), with seven famous faces of different faiths all booting up to take on a modern-day pilgrimage.
This year, across three 60-minute episodes, the celebrities will journey along the North Wales Pilgrim’s Way, along a route that celebrates Celtic early Christian saints. Their final destination will be Bardsey Island, the fabled ‘island of 20,000 saints’, just off the western tip of the Llŷn Peninsula.
Making up the group of seven are Spencer Matthews, former Made in Chelsea star, wildlife presenter Michaela Strachan, journalist and TV presenter Sonali Shah, The Traitors star Amanda Lovett, comedian Eshaan Akbar, actor Tom Rosenthal, and TV personality and former model Christine McGuinness.
Over two weeks, the stars will be faced with challenging paths and climbs, sleep in basic accommodation and experience eco-retreats. But how well will they manage?
As they immerse themselves in the experience, read on for everything you need to know about the Pilgrimage 2024 line-up.
Age: 35
Job: Former reality TV star and entrepreneur
Instagram: @spencermatthews
Religious background: Christened Church of England still searching for answers to life’s big questions
Spencer Matthews is a former reality TV star turned entrepreneur, who is best known for appearing on Made in Chelsea from 2011 to 2015. He’s now married to model Vogue Williams, with whom he has two children.
Speaking of why he decided to go on this journey, Spencer said: “A pilgrimage is when you walk and sleep on church floors and eat dead rats and stuff, which I’m looking forward to.
“I’d be pretty low in the faith knowledge bracket, but I’m on a quest to broaden my knowledge and religious horizons. I’m an open mind, an open book. I want to learn about different faiths, cultures and religions and develop a firm understanding of my faith and how it can potentially play a larger role in my life.”
Age: 35
Job: TV personality and former model
Instagram: @mrscmcguinness
Religious background: Spiritual but doesn’t practise a particular faith
Christine McGuinness is a TV personality and former model. She appeared on ITVBe’s The Real Housewives of Cheshire between 2018 and 2020.
She got married to presenter Paddy McGuinness in 2011 – however, the couple, who have three children, separated in 2022.
Last year, Christine opened up about being diagnosed with ADHD and autism, revealing she now “understands” herself more, and it inspired her to take part in the BBC show.
“Since my autism diagnosis, it’s really made me want to grab opportunities with both hands. I want to say yes to more things, things that I would always say no to, because I find socialising quite awkward.
“I don’t really like being pushed out of my comfort zone, but I’m realising more and more that I want to live, I want to do more things, I want to have good memories, I want to make friends, I want to learn more about other people, and the only way I can do that is by pushing myself a bit,” she said.
Age: 39
Job: Reality TV star
Instagram: @eshaanakbar
Religious background: Lapsed Muslim
Eshaan Akbar is a comedian, writer and actor. He is of Pakistani and Bangladeshi ancestry and described himself as a “lapsed Muslim”.
“Why am I doing this pilgrimage? I’ll be honest, I think it’ll be fun, believe it or not. I’m not a great fan of walking without a purpose, I don’t like hikes, I don’t like going up and down different types of terrain, I don’t like sleeping in uncomfortable situations.
“My immigrant parents worked way too hard for me to start fetishising poverty by choosing to make my life too difficult. I’m really looking forward to the experience but I can’t promise that I won’t moan for most of it,” he said.
Age: 57
Job: TV presenter
Instagram: @strachan.michaela
Religious background: Michaela places her faith in the natural world
Michaela Strachan is a TV presenter best known for her work on wildlife series such as Springwatch and Really Wild Show.
“I think this pilgrimage is going to be really good for me. These days we all tend to live busy, complicated lives, and what I love about walking is all you’ve got to think about is putting one foot in front of the other. I find it very cathartic, it’s my form of meditation.
“There’s a simplicity to just walking. Walking, thinking, taking time to connect with nature. I guess that’s my form of spiritual engagement,” she said.
Age: 43
Job: TV and radio broadcaster
Instagram: @sonalishah
Religious background: Raised in a Jain household
Sonali Shah is a British TV and radio broadcaster who currently presents Sunday Breakfast on Magic FM, as well as BBC television programme Escape to the Country.
On Pilgrimage, she said: “It felt like the opportunity of going on a pilgrimage like this came at the right time in my life. I grew up in a liberal Jain, east African Indian household in north-west London, where faith, race and culture were very intertwined.
“While I have always been comfortable with who I am and the way I live, in recent years, with my kids asking more questions, I realised that using the word agnostic hasn’t been quite right. I was also curious about what, if anything, I could add to the party as someone who was born into a faith that many people have never heard of.”
Age: 56
Job: Reality TV star
Instagram: @amanda_lovett25
Religious background: Catholic
Amanda Lovett is best known for taking part in the first season of The Traitors UK back in 2022.
Speaking of why she decided to sign up for Pilgrimage, she said: “They say that if you go on a pilgrimage, there’s a hope that by the end of it there will have been some sort of realisation, so I’m looking forward to finding mine!
“I do have a strong Catholic faith. I still pray, and I believe there’s an afterlife, but I’m excited to explore other people’s faiths and religions and how they view life.
“I’ve always been the mum, the gran, the worker, and I sort of forgot about me. I’ve done school runs for 32 years, and I’ve found my time now. I’m looking forward to learning about myself, digging deep and processing and seeing how I’ll evolve in the future.”
Age: 43
Job: Actor and comedian
Instagram: @rosengrams
Religious background: “Areligious”
Tom Rosenthal is an actor and comedian, who is well-known for appearing on Channel 4’s Friday Night Dinner. He refers to himself as “areligious”.
Asked why he decided to sign up for the BBC show, he said: “I’ve always been interested by anybody with any thoughts as to what it is we are all doing here. It’s fairly confusing, and if I spend all my time watching Arsenal and the The Traitors I’m never going to find out.
“Dedicating myself to a pilgrimage for two weeks is a wonderful opportunity to reflect upon my spirituality and to make a TV show my grandmother will actually enjoy watching.”
Pilgrimage: The Road to Wild Wales 2024 airs Fridays at 9pm on BBC Two & BBC iPlayer.

]]>The first reviews are in for Beyoncé’s latest album, Cowboy Carter, a country inspired record that is the follow-up to her 2022 album Renaissance.
The 42-year-old singer announced back in 2022 that she had recorded a trilogy of albums, with Renaissance and Cowboy Carter being the first and second projects, and the third yet to be unveiled.
As she explained: “This three act project was recorded over three years during the pandemic. A time to be still, but also a time I found to the the most creative.”
With a feature from Willie Nelson and a cover of Dolly Parton’s Jolene, the album marks a change in genre for the artist, who has now become the first Black woman to top the US Hot 100 with a country song.
So, what are the critics saying about Cowboy Carter?
Mark Savage, Music correspondent at the BBC, wrote: “Cowboy Carter throws a lasso around country’s sonic signifiers, and spins them into something unique.”
He went on to describe the tracks as “theatrical, mournful, playful, lovestruck, whimsical and carnal”, and added “[Cowboy Carter is] an immaculate country-pop record that proves [Beyoncé’s] adaptability and mastery, regardless of genre.”

Meanwhile, Page Six critic Nicholas Hautman called it “the revival that country music so desperately needed”, The Times described the record as “a slick and starry western epic”, and the Guardian wrote: “Cowboy Carter still proves Beyoncé is impressively capable of doing whatever she wants.”
On X (recently rebranded as Twitter), fans seemed equally as impressed, with one member of the Beyhive writing: “She said this ain’t a country album it’s a Beyoncé album and she indeed did not disappoint.”

Another fan called the album “A hit. 10/10” and a third wrote, “this is unlike anything she’s ever done. it’s better”.
Cowboy Carter is made up of 27 tracks, and features the likes of Post Malone, Miley Cyrus, Linda Martell, Willie Jones and Willie Nelson.

While Chelsea are worrying about playing in Europe, Burnley are fighting to stay in the Premier League.

]]>Beyond Paradise has finally returned for its second season, and things sure kicked off with a bang, with last week’s episode seeing our favourite detective Humphrey (Kris Marshall) investigating a murder on a stream train after an actor playing a murder victim is actually found dead.
This week’s episode of Beyond Paradise will see Humphrey and Martha (Sally Bretton) having their fostering interviews, while the team investigate a clairvoyant who appears to be to be predicting unusual events occurring in the life of a bereaved woman.
Meanwhile, there might be love in the air for Anne (Barbara Flynn), who is embarking on a new romantic journey in the form of dating apps.
RadioTimes.com has an exclusive clip of episode 2, which shows Anne considering how to politely reject a second date.
“Just ghost him,” says Zoe (Melina Sinadinou). But when a confused Anne goes to send a ghost emoji to her online suitor, Zoe laughs and grabs her phone.
“No, no, quick – delete!” she says, adding, “sooner or later, he’ll get the hint you’re not interested. That’s ghosting.”
Anne’s new storyline comes after actress Barbara Flynn teased some of the changes coming Anne’s way this season following the death of her husband – specifically in regards to her romantic life.
“It was a natural progression, I suppose, but also quite a difficult one to jump in,” Flynn told Digital Spy.
“But she does jump in with encouragement and a bit of determination and finds it’s quite fun – but also a bit dangerous. She does get support from the youth around her, from a lovely new character, and it’s a journey.”
It sure does seem that love might be in the air for Anne this season!
Read more:
The full synopsis for episode 2 reads: “A clairvoyant predicts unusual events that begin occurring in the life of a recently bereaved woman. The team starts to suspect that the psychic’s powers might be too good to be true, as the woman starts ending up in more and more dangerous situations.
“When the team discover a connection to her deceased grandfather, everything begins to fall into place.
“On the home front, it’s a big day for Humphrey and Martha, as they have their fostering interviews. Can they show their social worker Hannah how much fostering means to them, or will their nerves get the better of them?”

]]>David Benioff and DB Weiss, best known as showrunners on Game of Thrones and new Netflix series 3 Body Problem, have spoken out about their scrapped Star Wars trilogy.
Weiss told the Happy Sad Confused podcast that he and Benioff “got relatively far, storywise” with the first of their planned movies before Lucasfilm opted to drop the project.
“We [also] had a basic roadmap to the other two,” said Weiss. “It was a shame.
“The truth is our Hollywood ratio, or batting average of things conceived to things actually finished has never been tremendously high, and there’s always going to be ones that get away for various reasons. You know, the ones that were never meant to be – and it was sad that was one of them for us.
“But as time goes on, you just kind of need to let go of those kinds of things, because if you don’t you’ll drive yourself completely crazy.”
Benioff and Weiss’s film was originally planned to be titled The First Jedi, with Benioff having previously told The Hollywood Reporter that the resulting trilogy would explore “how the Jedi Order came to be, why it came to be, the [origins of the] first lightsaber”.
“[Lucasfilm] ended up not wanting to do a First Jedi story. We had a very specific story idea in mind, and ultimately they decided they didn’t want to do that. And we totally get it. It’s their company and their IP, but we weren’t the droids they were looking for.”
Though their project did not go ahead, another film set early in the Star Wars timeline called Dawn of the Jedi is in development with Logan director James Mangold.
Mangold has described his film in an interview with Gizmodo as an “origin story of how the Force came to be known, understood, wielded, and harnessed.”

City are level on points with Chelsea at the top of the league, and they’re only second on goal difference. Arsenal are then in third – however, they’re six points behind in the title race.
A win for Taylor’s side would guarantee them top spot due to Chelsea facing off against Arsenal in the FA Women’s League Cup final on Sunday.
City are hoping to win their first WSL title since 2016 and go one step further than in recent years, which has seen them finish second five times in the last seven seasons.
Liverpool, who have won the league twice in 2013 and 2014, find themselves fourth in the table and 14 points off Chelsea and City.

The legendary character was first introduced back in Chapter 2, Season 2 but is now back after escaping jail in the Underworld. This has resulted in a whole host of quests, rewards, and even the god Hades being freed.
All of this makes up the new Rise of Midas event, which has been suspected for some time thanks to dataminers sharing leaks ahead of its official announcement. Additionally, it sees the return of the Floor is Lava experience, the Rise of Midas cup and some serious skins to unlock.
With that, we’ve rounded up everything there is to know about Midas in Fortnite, including how to unlock the skin of the”mastermind with the golden touch”.
To unlock the Ascendant Midas skin in Fortnite, you need to buy it from the in-game item shop. Ascendant Midas will be available to purchase from the item shop from 27th March 2024 in the UK. That’s 8PM ET in the US.

“Midas was in The Underworld… but has escaped,” reads the official Fortnite blog announcement. “Then, Midas suspects his associate Brutus of treason. But whether he’s guilty or not, the rest of Midas’ crew are committed to getting Midas on ‘The Marigold’ yacht to escape Hades’ wrath.”
Rise of Midas has five phases of quests, which are as follows:
Complete six quests to unlock the Cerberus Medallion Spray, 12 to unlock the Rose of Avarice Back Bling, and 18 to unlock the Queen in Gold Glider.

Elsewhere, Pilgrimage returns for its sixth season and seven celebrity pilgrims – including Michaela Strachan and Spencer Matthews – take a personal journey along a route that celebrates early Celtic Christian saints.
Sir David Attenborough also helms a new documentary series exploring how Mammals have conquered the Earth, while the 20th season of Masterchef gets underway as Greg Wallace and John Torode once again see who has what it takes to knock their socks off in the culinary stakes.

]]>A new football drama launches on Netflix this weekend, which shines a light on The Homeless World Cup.
Written by Frank Cottrell-Boyce (Goodbye Christopher Robin) and directed by Thea Sharrock (Me Before You), the film follows the England squad as they travel to Rome for the annual tournament in the hope of winning Gold.
Bill Nighy stars as the team’s coach, while Top Boy’s Michael Ward takes on the role of Vinny, a talented but troubled striker who gives the team a real chance at winning if he’s ready to let go of his past.
But is the film based on true events? Read on for everything you need to know.
Although the film is inspired by the real Homeless World Cup – and was made with the co-operation and support of that organisation – the specific events depicted in the film are fictional.
Therefore, the main characters including coach Mal (Bill Nighy) and star player Vinny (Michael Ward) are not based on real people but were created for the movie, although according to the filmmakers they leaned on various real stories when putting it together.
Some of those real people whose stories are listed as “running parallel” to the fictional characters on the Homeless World Cup website include manager Craig McManus and player Lisa Wrightsman.
Meanwhile, in an exclusive interview with RadioTimes.com, star Callum Scott Howells explained how the film was also loosely inspired by the 2008 documentary Kicking It, which followed the experiences of seven people from around the world at the 2006 Homeless World Cup in Cape Town.
“If you watch the documentary, a lot of the characters that you see in The Beautiful Game, you’ll kind of maybe loosely connect with characters from the documentary,” he explained.
“Like my character, Nathan, is loosely based off of a character in the documentary.
“And you know, it’s really interesting because [for] so many people, it changes their lives – like, there’s stories about players that have gone on to become professional referees in the professional game, which is amazing.”
He added: “But also it’s worth saying that some people who experience the tournament, it’s an amazing experience and it’s something really special for them, but some people don’t make it – and I think Nathan, my character, is really interesting.
“He’s a really interesting example of kind of… I don’t want to spoil it, because obviously I want people to watch the movie, but Nathan is a really interesting example of what kind of people compete in the Homeless World Cup, and the kind of challenges that they face.”
Howells also explained that an extra degree of authenticity was brought to the film by the decision to cast former Homeless World Cup players as supporting artists.
“It was really special, and spending every day in and around former players, it taught us so much,” he said. “And it just really helped us tell this story as authentically and truthfully as we could.”
Speaking about the film, the president and founder of the Homeless World Cup Foundation, Mel Young, said: “We are incredibly excited to be the focus of the upcoming film The Beautiful Game. The Homeless World Cup is our contribution to tackling the homeless problem across the globe – but there is so much more to do.
“We have proved just how powerful football can be when it is applied to a social problem, and we will keep striving to do more. We hope that the work we do being told in The Beautiful Game inspires more people to join in and support future Homeless World Cups, and together we can all aim to end homelessness forever.”
The Homeless World Cup Foundation was first established in 2001 and the first event took place two years later in Graz, Austria.
According to the Foundation, it’s mission is: “To use football to support and inspire people who are homeless to change their own lives; and to change perceptions and attitudes towards people who are experiencing homelessness.”
The event traditionally takes place every year – although there was a four-year gap between 2019 and 2023 due to the pandemic – and host cities over the years have included Gothenburg, Edinburgh, Copenhagen, Cape Town, Melbourne, Milan, Rio de Janeiro, Paris, Mexico City, Poznań, Santiago, Amsterdam, Glasgow and Oslo.
Rome, which hosts the fictional version of the tournament in The Beautiful Game, is yet to host an event.
Meanwhile, the 2024 edition of the tournament will take place in Seoul, South Korea and will kick-off in October.
England have yet to win the tournament in either the Men’s or the Women’s events, but Scotland have fared much better – emerging victorious in both the 2007 and 2011 Men’s tournaments and finishing as defeated finalists on a further two occasions.
Speaking about his conversions with co-founder Mel Young on set, Callum Scott Howells said: “I had so many conversations with him about what the day to day is like, in terms of the tournament and what it’s like to be there.
“I spoke to a lot of people who were involved with the charity, as well, but also about how he kind of came up with the idea – and it was over a pint with his friend, which is just amazing!
“It’s so mad to think that he had a pint with his friend and they come up with this thing called the Homeless World Cup, and now it’s 20 years down the line, and it’s changed over a million people’s lives. It’s extraordinary.”
The Beautiful Game is now streaming on Netflix. Check out more of our Film coverage or visit our TV Guide and Streaming Guide to find out what’s on tonight.

]]>The first season of British comedy series The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin is available to stream in full on Apple TV+, with the finale having now been released.
This means thoughts, of course, immediately turn to the future of the show, and whether Noel Fielding will be returning for more laughs in a second season.
The series has been a hit with many viewers, and featured an absolutely stacked cast full of British talent – but what are the chances that we get to see more episodes?
Read on for everything you need to know about a potential The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin season 2.
*Warning – contains spoilers for Dick Turpin season 1*
We don’t yet know whether The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin will be back for a second season, but it certainly seems that the show is set up for one, should Apple TV+ greenlight it.
The ending of season 1 saw Dick and the gang riding back into action, while an imprisoned Jonathan Wild vowed revenge, hinting towards another confrontation to come in future episodes.
At this point, Apple TV+ hasn’t confirmed the future of the show either way, but that’s not surprising given that it’s only just finished releasing episodes.
We will keep this page updated as and when we get any news regarding the future of Dick Turpin.
It’s hard to say at this point when a second season of The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin would be released, given that the show has yet to be officially renewed.
However, if the renewal comes quickly then we’d imagine we could see season 2 as early as spring 2025. We will keep this page updated once any more concrete information comes through.
If Dick Turpin were to return for a second season, we would certainly expect Noel Fielding to be back as the titular highwayman, along with his gang made up of Ellie White, Marc Wootton and Duayne Boachie.
Meanwhile, Hugh Bonneville is also likely to return as the villainous thief-taker Jonathan Wild.
We would also expect a number of the show’s other cast members to return, although no official cast list has been confirmed yet for a potential second season.
Here is the cast list for Dick Turpin season 1, many of whom would likely be back for a possible season 2:
There isn’t a trailer available for a possible Dick Turpin season 2 yet, but we will keep this page updated if and when any new footage is released. In the meantime, you can rewatch the trailer for season 1 right here now.

]]>Scotland host France at Hive Stadium in Edinburgh on Saturday at 2:15pm.
They will hope to build on their impressive win over Wales in front of what is expected to be a raucous home crowd.
Bryan Easson’s side hung on to see out a 20-18 victory over Wales – as the hosts missed a last-minute conversion – to clinch Scotland’s second ever away win in the competition.
The result undoubtedly shows the improvement that Scotland have made since the introduction of professional contracts, with 23 of the 34-player squad contracted to Scottish Rugby.
France recorded a big win over Ireland in the opening round and firmly announced themselves as chief rivals to England, who are aiming for a sixth consecutive Six Nations title.
Scotland, with former England international Matt Banahan as their attack coach, are developing a sharp attack – but it’s one that France can match with their own free-flowing offence, as well as a powerful close-range game.
RadioTimes.com has rounded up everything you need to know about how to watch Scotland v France on TV and online.
Scotland v France will take place on Saturday 30th March 2024.
The game takes place at the DAM Health Stadium in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Scotland v France will kick off at 2:15pm.
Check out the Women’s Six Nations TV schedule with our comprehensive guide.
Scotland v France will be shown live on BBC One Scotland.
Every match of the tournament will be shown live across BBC platforms.
Scotland v France will be live streamed on BBC iPlayer and the BBC Sport website for free.
Fans can tune in to watch all the action live and on the move via a range of devices, including smartphones and tablets via the BBC iPlayer app.
Scotland should rightly enter this clash with growing confidence after an opening weekend win, and they have a strong shot at finishing third for the first time since 2005, but they’re still likely some way off the strength of the French.
Prediction: FRANCE WIN

]]>England take on Wales in the second round of the Women’s Six Nations at Ashton Gate in Bristol, kicking off at 4:45pm on Saturday.
Having comprehensively beaten Italy 48-0 despite an early red card for Sarah Beckett and a stuttering first-half in which they scored only 10 points, England began their title defence in strong fashion.
The match marked Marlie Packer’s 100th cap, and featured an incredible attacking display from full-back Ellie Kildunne.
Wales will be eager to put up a fight with England after a disappointing loss to Scotland. Wales’ back-up kicker Lleucu George missed a 79th-minute conversion.
Head coach Ioan Cunningham had made the now-contentious decision to take off regular goal-kicker Keira Bevan for debutant Sian Jones in the 73rd minute, which has naturally raised questions on social media.

Wales will be hungry and won’t need any help to get motivated for a clash with the Grand Slam champions, but England are England – and this side are still head and shoulders above the rest of the tournament, with France in second.
Wales will put up a fight, but with home advantage, it won’t be a surprise if England pile the points on the visitors.
Prediction: ENGLAND WIN

]]>Ian Hart and Vincent Regan have been named among the guest stars for the upcoming ninth season of Shetland.
Hart, who was recently seen in Mr Bates vs The Post Office, and Regan, whose credits include Traces and Luther: The Fallen Sun, will appear alongside series leads Ashley Jensen and Alison O’Donnell in the upcoming run, which has just begun filming.
“I’m looking forward to embarking on a Shetland adventure,” Hart said of his casting. “It’s a place I’ve always wanted to visit and to do so with this incredible drama is wonderful.”
Regan added: “I’m thrilled be joining the cast of Shetland which is such a beloved BBC drama. My character and his family are at the heart of this dark and twisting storyline and I’m looking forward to seeing how it all unfolds.
“The opportunity to visit the Shetland Isles was also a real pull to the part as well as working with the likes of Ashley Jensen and Alison O’Donnell.”
Other guest stars in the new season will include Stuart Campbell (SAS Rogue Heroes), Robert Jack (Annika), Nalini Chetty (Karen Pirie), Jimmy Yuill (Guilt, ) and Lesley Hart (Granite Harbour).
Meanwhile, alongside Jensen and O’Donnell, a number of other familiar faces will also be back to reprise their roles, including Steven Robertson as DC Sandy Wilson, Lewis Howden as Sgt Billy McCabe and Anne Kidd as Cora McLean.
The returning cast is rounded out by Angus Miller as Donnie, Steven Miller as Rev Alan Calder, Tibu Fortes as PF Harry Lamont, Conor McCarry as PC Alex Grant and Eubha Akilade as PC Lorna Burns.
The six-part run will be Jensen’s second as DI Calder after taking over as the show’s lead from Douglas Henshall following his departure at the end of season 7.
According to the BBC, the season will see Calder “thrown in at the deep end after a friend of Tosh’s (O’Donnell) goes missing”.
The synopsis continues: “The chilling tale of disappearances and death sparks a labyrinthine investigation for Tosh and Calder that challenges the line between the personal and professional.”
It was announced earlier in March that Shetland had been recommissioned for not just one but two more runs, with season 9 expected to air later in 2024.

She added: “The Shetland Isles are breathtaking – without a doubt one of the most memorable and unique filming locations I’ve been to. I’m looking forward to jumping on that wee plane again and returning soon.”
The new season of Shetland will be written by lead writer Paul Logue and Denise Paul, and will be directed by Andrew Cumming (Out of Darkness) and Ruth Paxton (A Banquet).
New Sally Wainwright fantasy series Renegade Nell is coming to Disney Plus today, providing a swashbuckling adventure set in the 18th century that the whole family can enjoy.
In the series, Louisa Harland plays Nell, a courageous young woman who finds herself framed for murder, and subsequently becomes the most notorious highwaywoman in England.
The show features plenty of thrills and suspense throughout, and Harland has spoken about how the team set about finding the line between these elements, and making it suitable for all the family.
Harland said: “It was really interesting finding what that line is for a family audience. The level of gore – you want it to be realistic, and you want to be on the edge of your seat and be nervous, but you don’t want people to have nightmares!
“And you also want it to be true to the time, and true… not blood and gore just for the sake of it, but for storytelling. So that is what the line is.”
Harland also previously spoke about how Wainwright, the creator of previous shows such as Happy Valley and Gentleman Jack, addressed difficult historical truths and topics throughout the series.
Read more:
She explained: “The nice thing about this world is I feel like it’s a new world we’ve created, and apart from a throughline of historical accuracy, we can kind of do whatever we want.
“Sally, I think, is rewriting history a little bit, and that’s something lovely about the show.”
As well as Harland, the series also stars Nick Mohammed, Adrian Lester, Joely Richardson, Craig Parkinson, Florence Keen and more in key roles.
Renegade Nell arrived on Disney Plus on Friday 29th March.

]]>We’re now nine weeks into The Apprentice, with just four more episodes to go before the winner of the 2024 series is revealed.
This week, the iconic TV shopping task made a return, which saw the candidates selling live to the nation on a leading shopping channel.
The candidates had to choose products to sell to viewers while being directed by the gallery – but time was up for two more.
So, who which candidates left The Apprentice this week? Read on to find out who was fired.
Maura’s business is rooted in the promotion of her clients’ wellbeing and she was looking to scale up with the help of Lord Sugar’s investment.
A self-confessed “dog with a bone” when meeting her targets, Raj wanted to hit a gap in the market and would do whatever it takes for success.
Raj was recently awarded Mortgage Broker of the year in September 2023 and also the Silver Award Winner of Best Businesswoman in Finance, something she noted as her biggest business success to date.
Noor Bouziane became the latest candidate to be fired from The Apprentice in the show’s eighth episode.
Lord Sugar said in the boardroom: “I’m frustrated, Noor, that you don’t understand how you’ve messed this thing up. I gave you the opportunity to prove yourself. It was a terrible, terrible advert and I’m afraid to say it is with regret, Noor, that you’re fired.”
As she was driven home, Noor said: “I’m grateful to have met amazing people and to have shown just a small percentage of what an amazing businesswoman that I am. And even though the advert got a lot of criticism, I still believe that it was really good.”
Time was up in the boardroom for Virdi Singh Mazaria as he became the eighth candidate to be fired from The Apprentice.
Virdi was brought back to the boardroom with Foluso, and Lord Sugar was less than impressed that the failure of this task was Virdi’s seventh time losing.
Sam Saddet became the seventh candidate to be fired from The Apprentice 2024.
Lord Sugar told the online fitness coach in the boardroom: “Sam, I admire your honesty and I can tell that you get on with everyone and that is a good virtue in business. However, the kids found the cereal boring and bland. So it is with sincere regret that you’re fired.”
While in taxi home, Sam said she was “completely and utterly” herself during process.
She continued: “And Lord Sugar knew that. His comments at the end meant more to me than anything and I completely went out on the high and I get to go home to my babies now.”
Onyeka became the sixth candidate to be fired from The Apprentice after Lord Sugar noted she was partially responsible for the team’s failure.
“Onyeka, the lack of not explaining the ethos is also a very, very serious thing and so you are culpable where the failure is concerned,” the business mogul said.
“Onyeka, you are clearly a charming and highly intelligent lady, and I appreciate that you’ve done your best throughout the course of this process, but on this occasion it simply wasn’t enough. It is with regret, Onyeka, you’re fired.”
In the first double firing of the series, Amina Khan became the fifth candidate to be fired from The Apprentice.
After Lord Sugar chose to bring back every candidate from the losing team back into the boardroom, it was ultimately the project manager and sub-team leader whose time was up.
Jack was the fourth candidate to be fired from The Apprentice. Following on from his team’s failure during the first shopping task of the series, Lord Sugar chose to fire him.
Asif Munaf was the third candidate to be fired from The Apprentice.
The business owner launched his brand whilst working 12-hour shifts as a doctor during the Covid-19 pandemic, something he noted as his biggest business success to date.
When asked why he deserved Lord Sugar’s investment, Asif said: “With my range of vitamins and supplements, I would make sure he is fit, sharp and firing for at least another 20 series!”
Pie man Paul Bowen became the second candidate to be fired from The Apprentice.
Lord Sugar told him in the boardroom: “Paul, I admire you for admitting your mistakes but there were simply too many mistakes and so it is with regret Paul, you’re fired.”
As he headed home, Paul said in the taxi: “The biggest regret is obviously banging on about chocolate but, hey, it’s time to go back and make some pies.”
Oliver Medforth became the first contestant to be fired from The Apprentice, after the boys lost the first task for season 18.
In an exclusive interview with RadioTimes.com about his departure from the show, Medforth said: “I think it was quite a tactical play of [Virdi] to invite me in really.
“I didn’t speak up much throughout the time that I was on there [and] that’s probably why [he thought], ‘I should bring him back in.’
“And he did, and Lord Sugar should have fired me and I respect him for that. And that’s just the game.”
If he could change how he did things on the show, Medforth said that he probably would have spoken up more.
He told RadioTimes.com: “I didn’t put myself on the right team – I should have been on the hosting side, I shouldn’t have been in the kitchen, clearly.”
The Apprentice season 18 continues on Thursdays at 9pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
